Combined Ovine/Caprine Braxy, Struck, Lamb Dysentery and Enterotoxaemia Vaccine, Inactivated

Main Composition and Content

This vaccine contains inactivated and detoxified cultures of Clostridium septicum (Strain C55-1), Clostridium Perfringens type B (Strain C58-1) and Clostridium Perfringens type D (Strain C60-2).

 

Description

After standing, the upper layer is clarified liquid, and the lower layer is a small amount of precipitate (If the Clostridium septicum was produced by beef soup digested by trypsin, the presence of activated carbon is allowed). The resulting solution is uniform suspension after shaken.

 

Action and Use

For prevention of ovine/caprine braxy, struck, lamb dysentery and enterotoxaemia of sheep or goats. The duration of immunity for preventing ovine/caprine braxy, struck, lamb dysentery is 12 months and for preventing enterotoxaemia is 6 months.

 

Administration and Dosage

Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection. Regardless of the age of sheep/goats, 5.0mL per animal.

 

Precaution

1. Do not freeze. Frozen vaccines are strictly prohibited to use.

2. Allow the bottle to room temperature and shake well before use.

3. During vaccination, topical disinfection should be conducted.

4. Used vaccine bottles, instruments, and remaining vaccines should be disinfected.

5. After vaccination, there are normally no adverse reactions. But induration at the injection site may develops in individual sheep or goats, which will gradually resolve later.
