Description:

Light yellow to light brown powder.

 

Pharmacological Action:

Ivermectin is a new broad-spectrum, high-efficiency, low-toxic and resistant antiparasitic drugs, which can kill parasites in vivo and in vitro, especially nematodes and arthropods. The effect of ivermectin on nematodes is to block the transmission of interneuron and animal nerve by interfering with gaba(γ- aminobutyric acid), and to block the transmission between nerve and muscle of arthropod, which results in the paralysis or death of insect body.

 

Indications:

Antibiotics. It has repellent activity against nematodes, insects and mites. It is mainly indicated for the treatment of cattle hypodermosis caused by Hypoderma bovis and Hypoderma lineatum, gastrointestinal nematodosis, Psoroptes communis ovis and infection of Oestrus ovis and Haematopinus suis.

 

Dosage and Usage:

Mixed with feed, dose for per 1000kg feed: pig 1.2g, for 7 days.

 

Precaution:

Ivermectin has a slow effect on nematodes, especially arthropods, and it takes days or even weeks to produce significant effects for some species. Ivermectin is highly toxic to shrimp, fish and aquatic organisms. Do not contaminate the water source with the packaging of the remaining medicines. This product is slightly toxic to the human body and should be cleaned promptly after smearing the hands. Prohibited for lactating animals, food horses and parturient cows.

 

Withdrawal period:

The drug should be discontinued five days before slaughter.
