What is GS-441524?

GS-441524 is a nucleoside analog and the main active ingredient in the antiviral drug Remdesivir (GS-5734). It prevents the spread of the virus by inhibiting RNA replication, and is widely used in the treatment of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) with a cure rate of 80-90%.

What is the treatment cycle for Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP)?

Standard treatment period: 12 weeks (84 days)

During this period, GS-441524 needs to be injected or given orally every day.

At the end of treatment, 3 months of observation is recommended to ensure no recurrence.

Special circumstances:

Neurological FIP may require a longer period of time or a higher dose.

Cats with relapses may require longer treatment cycles or dose adjustments.
